They are three ways to get a visa

A: Fast-track procedure for skilled workers

B: Working Visa for Qualified professionals

C: Visa for studying

A: Fast-track procedure for skilled workers

The foreign professional grants a power of attorney to their future employer in Germany. The employer will then carry out all steps necessary. Finally, the worker will receive a preliminary visa approval and apply for a visa at the German mission in their country of residence.

  • Foreign professional provides employer with all necessary documents for application: power of attorney, copy of passport and proof of professional qualification.
  • The employer will carry out all necessary steps and submit the foreign qualifications for recognition.
  • As soon as all the application documents are complete, the recognition of the foreign qualifications will take about 2-3 months.
  • If all requirements are met, the employer will receive a preliminary visa and forward it to the employer.
  • Employer arranges appointment at the German mission in their country stating “preliminary visa obtained”, to be granted an appointment within three weeks’ time.
  • If everything goes well, the visa will be issued and the foreign professional can come to work in Germany.
